MHI Featured in New Publication by Author Lori Vermaas
CORNERSTONE, The Building of the Rio Grande Valley, a publication of the Rio Grande Valley Chapter – Associated General Contractors of America, by Lori Vermaas has just been released. The 144 page hardcover book tells the story of the construction professionals and their crews who built and transformed the Rio Grande Valley into what it is today and how they will shape the Valley’s future growth.

CORNERSTONE’S pictorial history is an impressive story that is rarely thought of when looking at the past – from the book’s first chapter, The Importance of Brick, to its last chapter, Industry Outlook and Future Trends, Lori Vermaas enriches our understanding of some of the most essential components of engineering, architecture and construction that have quietly impacted the quality of our communities here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Melden & Hunt, Inc. offers their congratulations and thanks to the Rio Grande Valley Chapter – Associated General Contractors of America and Lori Vermaas for the significant contribution they have made in documenting an important part of the Rio Grande Valley’s history.

A special thanks to RGV – AGC’s Executive Director, Perry Vaughn and to John W. Topp, Topp Direct Marketing – Publisher for granting permission for use of the book’s cover photo.
